Online Roulette Guide & Details

Roulette is one of the most popular of all casinos games, at both online and offline casinos. There are two main versions of this game, which include American Roulette and European Roulette. Both games enjoy just as much success as each other in the popularity wars.

The only real difference between the two games is that European Roulette contains the numbers 1 through to 36 (which are alternately and equally numbered red and black), plus it has one zero (0), which is green. The layout is basically identical with American Roulette, except the American version contains two green zeros. The main objective as a player with either version is to guess which position the roulette ball will come to rest (on the Roulette wheel) after it has completed several revolutions.

When playing roulette online, you can use the responsive player controls that appear on the screen for you. The chips will appear in several different denominations, depending on which table limits you have chosen. So if you decided to go with the lowest limits, you will probably have the following denominations: 0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.10, 0.20, 0.50, 1.00, 5.00, 10.00, 25.00 and perhaps a maximum 50.00 chip.

Higher limits may have chip denominations ranging up to as much as 500.00 for example. The lowest cost for one bet when placing a wager on Red/Black, Odd/Even, or numbers 1-18 or 19-36 is generally fixed at a minimum of 1.00 credit (on the lower AND higher limit tables). This minimum stake is standard at most online casinos and you will receive odds of 1:1, so if you bet $/€/£2.00 and win with 1:1 odds, you will receive a total of $/€/£4.00.

All you have to do to place a bet is click on a chip denomination and then click or drag that chip onto your preferred position on the betting table. Other individual bets and their associated odds include: A Column/Dozen bet, which has odds of 2:1, a Line Bet has odds of 5:1, a Four bet has odds of 8:1, a Corner bet also has odds of 8:1, a Street Bet has odds of 11:1, a Split bet has odds of 17:1 and a Straight Up bet has odds of 35:1.
